The answers are off

Usually a material problem or a question the app never actually heard.

It answered a question nobody asked

Check the transcript underneath the answer. If the transcript is wrong, the answer was right about the wrong question, and the fix is on the audio side — see Nothing is being transcribed.

The answer is generic

Generic answers mean nothing specific was retrieved. Upload your resume and your notes — see Your knowledge base. Answers are drawn from your own material first and fall back to general knowledge only when there is nothing to draw on.

The answer is too shallow for a coding problem

Escalate it: ⌘⇧E/Ctrl+Shift+E, or the ⤴ harder button on the card. See On-screen questions.

It will not claim something you did not do

If you ask it to support a claim your material does not back, it will not fabricate one. That is deliberate — an invented project is a question you then have to answer live.
