Can the interviewer see MiPrep AI on my shared screen?+

No. The HUD renders in a Tauri window layer that Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams screen-capture APIs skip. On macOS we use NSWindowSharingNone. On Windows we use SetWindowDisplayAffinity with WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE. We verify this on every release with a Zoom + Meet + Teams recording test.

Does MiPrep AI show up in the meeting participant list?+

No. MiPrep AI is a desktop app, not a meeting bot. It captures system audio locally. Nothing about MiPrep AI is visible to the meeting service or the other participants.

Is my audio recorded or stored?+

Transcription runs on your machine or a trusted inference endpoint for the length of the call. The audio itself is not persisted to disk unless you explicitly turn on the interview-review feature. Your resume and JD are processed for the RAG lookup and deleted at the end of the session (or persisted encrypted if you enable saved sessions).

What if the interviewer asks me to share my full desktop?+

The MiPrep AI HUD is still invisible in full-desktop share on Zoom, Meet, and Teams because the OS-level capture flags exclude our window. That said, if the interviewer walks over and physically looks at your laptop screen, they will see it — no software fixes that.

Does MiPrep AI ship signed binaries?+

Not yet. We ship unsigned during v1 for release velocity — Apple notarization can take hours and blocks fast iteration. First launch you may see a Gatekeeper warning; right-click → Open once and it's fine forever. We roll out signed builds when v1.0 stabilizes. Full ship-signing plan: /download#signing.

What if MiPrep AI does leak on screen share?+

We pay a bug bounty. Email [email protected] with a reproducible video and the affected platform + OS version. If verified, you get paid. It's how we align our incentives with yours — we don't want that leak either.
